Web.de Says It Will Turn

Web.de Says It Will Turn Profit Every Quarter of 2003: German Internet portal company Web.de has turned a profit in the Q4 ‘02. The news of the EUR100,000 profit surprised analysts, who hadn’t expected the company to turn a profit so quickly. The company also expects to be profitable for all of this year.

“The portal has 10 million registered users, of which more than 300,000 are paying customers for services such as premium e-mail accounts and the ability to send short messages to mobile phones...Web.de expects to continue its growth rate of adding 1,000 paying customers a day.”
