So says a report in Telegraph UK: online traffic measurement and analysis firm Hitwise, which has made big strides into the duopoly of NetRatings and Comscore in U.S., is on the block, and is looking to get around $350 million. Among the buyers could be United Business Media, Experian and several private equity firms, the story says.
The company, founded in 1997 by Australian internet entrepreneurs Andrew Barlow and Adrian Giles, has investment from Allen & Buckeridge and Insight Venture Partners. It has since moved its headquarters to U.S., to New York City.
