TheStreet.com Announces Hoenig Litigation Dropped

By Rafat Ali - Wed 13 Aug 2003 03:08 PM PST

TheStreet.com and financial commentator Jonathan Hoenig each dropped lawsuits against the other...the claims were resolved without payment from either party.

In February, Hoenig filed a defamation lawsuit against James Cramer and TheStreet.com. Hoenig accused Cramer of writing untrue statements that damaged his reputation as a hedge fund manager and commentator. TheStreet.com would counter with a lawsuit against Hoenig and his site Capitalistpig for unfair competition, charging Hoenig used “James Cramer” keywords for his Web site.
