By Rafat Ali - Tue 02 Jan 2007 01:18 PM PST

Yes, the meme is growing, as is the buzz about deadpool, and we’ll hear a lot more about it in this year...among the companies facing some tough times (not all dead or being anywhere near dead):
-- RawSugar: An Israeli social tagging site which received $1 million in angel funding from Band of Angels, is looking to sell the assets of the company.
-- Browster: Browser preview startup Browster, which received $5.8 million in first-round funding from Advanced Technology Ventures, Vanguard Ventures, First Round Capital, and individual investors, has gone dead, reports GigaOm.
-- Mojungle, a mobile media-sharing startup, put itself up for sale on eBay, but looks like couldn’t find any buyers.
-- Jobster: The Seattle-based Web 2.0-style jobs classifieds startups, which has raised $48 million in funding till now, is undergoing an analysis of the business that could involve major layoffs or other changes in the first part of 2007, according to this SeattlePI post.
-- Then we mentioned two video sharing startups last month: Revver and Guba, both having management changes...in Revver’s case two founders leaving and in GUba’s case the CEO leaving.
-- Juice Wireless: The mobile social networking and marketing startup Juice Wireless is looking for funding, and the VentureBeat story suggests it may be facing tough times.
Then Wired has come out with a list of 10 top acquisitions candidates in this space for 2007: Among them some usual suspects and some not: Facebook, Digg, TechMeme, Zillow, Technorati, Wordpress, 37Signals, Feedburner and Riya.
