Terra Lycos Pulls Plug on Webmonkey

A sad day: I learned beginning HTML from Webmonkey, and after a couple of years of languishing, the troubled parent Terra Lycos has pulled the plug following a round of layoffs in the U.S.
Launched in August 1996 as part of a fast-growing collection of websites funded by the original owners of Wired magazine, Webmonkey instantly became the surprise hit.
