By Rafat Ali - Tue 19 Sep 2006 09:11 AM PST

Stealth social media site and service Jacked, launched by former American Greeting Mobile head Bryan Biniak, has received $0.5 million in seed funding. The round was done by the new VC firm Provenance Ventures, also founded by Biniak. Provenance recently closed its first fund at $10 million, and will invest in media and communications start-ups predominantly in the LA area.
As the company describes itself, it is a “participatory media and technology company centered on closing the loop between broadcast and IP-based media”.
