Sirius’ Mobile Satellite Video Will Include Live TV

By Rafat Ali - Tue 25 Apr 2006 04:05 PM PST

Another day, another live TV option: this was previously announced, about Sirius’ move into video for the automobile sector, but CEO Mel Karmazin said at the recent Morgan Stanley Global Automotive Conference that the service will include live TV channel, possibly Disney’s kids channels. There has been some speculation that it would be a cached service, where the user downloads the content to storage for playback later.
Also, it might be launched by CES next year, not this year as previously expected.
