Seeking to add to its base of 73,000 premium subscribers, Salon is offering a two-for-one deal: Those who sign up for the $35 offer receive two subscriptions that allow the user to read Salon without sitting through those full-page ads that confront nonpaid visitors to the site.
Other freebies are also being dangled, including subscriptions to magazines, downloadable audio books etc…
