RSS Firm Attensa Gets $9 Million Funding

Attensa, a Portland, OR-based RSS network and delivery firm, has received $9 million in second round funding from RSS Investors, a fund focused on information aggregation and other web technologies. Also investing was existing investor SmartForest Ventures. The new funding brings the total investment to date to $12 million.

This is the first investment from RSS Investors, which aims to raise $100 million to invest in companies that are developing new web technologies.

The capital will be used to fund development of the Attensa RSS product line including Web-based RSS reader/aggregator infrastructure, RSS clients for PCs and mobile devices, and servers supporting RSS applications in the enterprise.
