Rolling Stone Editor and Adobe Executive Put $800,000 Into Salon

By Rafat Ali - Thu 15 Jan 2004 07:01 AM PST

Well, Salon’s spreading its wings, as far as investment goes: that means raiding more than poor John Warnock’s money...Jann Wenner, the founder and editor of Rolling Stone magazine and chairman of Wenner Media, said yesterday that he would invest $200,000 in Salon Media Group, and join its board.

But then, as usual Warnock, co-chairman of Adobe Systems and the longtime financial backer, would also invest an additional $600,000.

As part of the alliance with Wenner, Salon and Rolling Stone, each known for liberal political leanings, will collaborate on a series of articles about the presidential election.
