Not a moneyspinner, but a lovely idea. 57 Productions in the UK just launched a not dissimilar service called iPoems offering downloadable poems as MP3s. It’s English language at the moment with 1,000 poems at 95 cents for an audio poem and $1.80 for a video poem. Membership is $18 per year and there’s a one-month free membership trial. The catalogue is very decent - heavyweight names like Benjamin Zephaniah and Michael Rosen. Sounds peachy, but I’d suggest being careful with the use of that “i” prefix, if Apple’s “pod” lawsuits are anything to go by.
