Pluck Gets $8.5 Million

Pluck, a software company which has a web browser companion (with an RSS newsreader built in as well), among other content tools, has raised $8.5 million in second round funding. Mayfield led the round, with continuing participation from initial investor, Austin Ventures. The capital will be used by Pluck to expand marketing and development activities for its application.
