Our Boston Mixer Tonight: Great Crowd, Great Food

By Rafat Ali - Thu 16 Nov 2006 10:19 PM PST

This was among the smoothest run mixers we’ve had, with great Boston crowd and great food at the Boston Harbor Hotel...this despite our event manager sitting in a plane on a tarmac in DC half of the day, and missing most of our mixer (Thanks Billy for pinch hitting at the last second). This was our first Boston mixer, so we were a bit unsure, but turns out the new media community can come out in droves when we ask them to...and yes, even the Boston area VCs, which is rare.
We’ll be back in six months, for sure.
Our Boston mixer sponsors are: Platinum: DeSilva & Phillips and Gold sponsors: Polaris Venture Partners; Reed Business Information; and Copyright Clearance Center.

Rafat and team, thanks for a fantastic networking event last night!  I met a ton of sharp folks who were on the edge of the newest interactive media, far beyond the web alone, and had some of the most invigorating and forward-looking conversations I’ve ever had at an event.

Lots of folks to connect with other folks ... ideas to connect with others today as follow-ups.  Now if I can just remember who I met (those two drink tickets sort of had an effect...) -Bill B.
