Olympics Face Pressure Over Digital Media Rights

EU competition authorities are concerned the IOC did not offer any rights to new media and mobile phone providers for the last Olympic games in Sydney for fear such a move would dilute the value of lucrative television rights...Mobile phone companies are desperate to get their hands on the rights for big sporting events to drive subscriptions for soon-to-launch third generation networks.
