Movielink Helps Akimbo Offer VOD Movies From MGM, Paramount, Universal, Warner Bros.

Through its deal with Movielink, internet VOD service Akimbo can now offer movies on demand from Metro-Goldwyn Mayer Studios, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios and Warner Bros. Movielink’s VOD service has been configured for the RCA Akimbo Player with movies for rent from $.99 to $4.99. This isn’t as easy as it seems—despite the relationship with Movielink each studio has to sign off.
