More On SI’s Acquisition Of FanNation.com

By Staci D. Kramer - Thu 01 Feb 2007 08:08 PM PST

As we reported, SI Digital Group announced its acquisition of FanNation.com from Sports Technologies, Inc. Thursday; that was accompanied by Time Inc.’s investment in a new subsidiary of STI, which will own the remaining assets not sold to SI. Underscoring plans to roll the technology out across major Time Inc. sites, EVP John Squires said in the release: “STI will be invaluable to Time Inc. as we move beyond conventional publishing online into social forms of media, an area of major emphasis for us this year.”
By the way, Chris Nicholas, co-founder and president of STI, is another Inside.com alum. Release.
