More On AOL RSS; Powered By Feedster

By Staci D. Kramer - Thu 28 Jul 2005 06:09 AM PST

It’s a full-tilt embrace of RSS for AOL with one-third of the new web portal’s three-tab approach designed as a personal RSS news reader. In a major coup for Feedster, the feed provider and RSS search engine is fueling My AOL. Kerry Parkins, director of audience products for AOL, said in this morning’s announcement that “leveraging” Feedster allows users to create “their own virtually real-time information journal.”
Features on the way include portability of settings between computers; the ability to search for RSS feeds and a Top Feeds section highlighting “top news and hot blogs.” (Maybe AOLed will join the vocabulary with slashdotted or boingboinged.)
More later.
