@ Mipcom: Mobile TV Awards
By Jemima Kiss - Thu 12 Oct 2006 04:12 AM PST
The UK did pretty well in the mobile TV awards last night scoring two of six awards, which is pretty impressive considering the range of countries represented. 3 won best UGC format for See Me TV, and Nicholas Wheeler, ITN’s head of multimedia, collected the award for On This Day In History as ‘best repurposed content from existing film or TV property’. That might also win the award for the worst award title.
The other winners:
- Best made-for-mobile film: Jokes by Green Paddy Animation of Taiwan.
- Best made-for-mobilen TV channel: NHK’s Mobile-G, Japan.
- Best interactive TV format: Forget the Rules, Global Dilemma of Australia.
- The Orange prize for innovation: Buongiorno’s Soccer Addicts.
