MarketWatch’s Q3 Profits Increase

MarketWatch Inc. said its Q3 net income more than doubled amid growth in online ad revenue and integration of its acquisition of Pinnacor. It earned $949,000, up from $393,000, in the year-earlier period…

Revenue climbed 71 percent to $19.8 million from $11.6 million.

Total ad revenue, which includes radio and TV, was $7.1 million, up 21 percent from a year earlier. Licensing revenue totaled $12.1 million, up 132 percent, with the addition of Pinnacor revenue, and fees under an agreement with Thomson Financial for a new institutional newswire now being built…
