Lycos On The Rebound?

By Rafat Ali - Sat 16 Jul 2005 01:08 PM PST

Oh really? Well, Lycos is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and thinks it is on the rebound. Maybe I’ll just ignore everything else I hear in the market, like how the number of unique visitors to its site dropped 31 percent to 25.5 million from 37.1 million a year ago, according to comScore Media Metrix. Like how Daum doesn’t really know what it is doing. Like the fact that in Korea, Daum has lost its top position, and then acquisition rumors about KTF buying Daum, but being hampered by the $95 million Lycos buy.

Forget that, I’ll take their official word for it.
