Lycos Europe Does Homework to Reduce Losses

Lycos Europe posted a net loss of EU15.7m for the three months, down from EU30.4m a year ago, on revenue that fell 29 percent to EU19.4m. However, the company did manage to increase revenue from advertising partners outside the Bertelsmann Group by percent, while revenue from paid services and shopping also showed a positive trend, reducing its reliance on advertising as its core revenue stream.
