Kramer: Why We Dropped The Dotcom

MarketWatch CEO Larry Kramer on why the company dropped its dotcom moniker two months ago: “We had several reasons for making the change, not the least of which was that we had just been awarded the trademark on the work “MarketWatch” as it pertains to gathering financial news. We applied for that trademark seven years ago and never thought we’d finally get it. But we did, and it came at a time we were building our institutional news feed.”
