By Rafat Ali - Thu 06 Apr 2006 10:05 PM PST

Two rumors coming out of Korea, coincidentaly two of the biggest portals around: Yahoo and Google.
-- Yahoo: Yahoo is denying a rumor in a local newspaper that it is in talks to sell its wholly-owned South Korean arm to a unit of SK Telecom. The potential sale of Yahoo Korea to unlisted SK Communications would be valued at more than 100 billion won ($104.5 million), the Hankook Ilbo daily reported.
-- Google: Rumors that Google might take over Korea’s largest portal NHN...but then, this wa an analyst speculation. Susquehanna analyst Marianne Wolk said Google might be looking to expand its presence in Asia.. it may want to take a stake or make an outright acquisition in Chinese online media company SINA , or NHN, the owner of Korean search site Naver.
