Japanese’s Faith Buys Online/Mobile Music Delivery Firm Rightscale

By Rafat Ali - Thu 14 Dec 2006 03:33 PM PST

We missed this one last week: Faith, one of the big mobile content companies out of Japan, through its subsidiary Brave, has bought out full stake in Rightsscale, an online and mobile music distribution and technology firm. The companies said that Rightsscale has contracts with 270 music labels and distributes 15K pieces of music to online and mobile music providers such as iTunes stores both in Japan and overseas.
Brave is 60 percent owned by Faith, and was set up in April this year. Rest: 30% from Taito Corporation and 10% from Square Enix. Some more details in the release here.
