It’s Official: Google Decides To String Google Video Along, Separate From YouTube

This has been debated internally for a while, and Google still couldn’t bring itself to kill Google Video: it announced today that the video service will remain separate from Youtube, which it bought last year. Though the two services will have some integration now: YouTube video results will appear in the Google Video search index, and the search results/thumbnails will take users back to YouTube.
If I am reading it right, Google Video will move towards becoming a video search engine.
