Industry Moves UK: Emily Bell, Guardian; Ben Feingold, Sony Pictures Home Ent.

-- Guardian: Emily Bell has been promoted to director of digital content and will now sit on the board of Guardian Newspapers. She will be responsible for developing and expanding all cross-platform digital content for The Guardian, The Observer and Guardian Unlimited. Bell has been editor-in-chief for GU since 2001 and keeps that role for the time being. She takes Simon Waldman’s place on the GNL board after his move to the board of parent group GMG. This is the third senior promotion at The Guardian this year following Waldman’s move and Carolyn McCall’s appointment as CEO for GMG in May.
-- Sony Pictures Home Ent.: Ben Feingold has left his post as worldwide president of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, digital distributions and acquisitions, after 12 years. He has been succeeded by David Bishop who joined Sony from MGM Home Entertainment in 2005. The announcement comes just five months after a major re-org at Sony when Feingold was given a new title and expanded remit covering digital.
