Industry Moves: Toni Schneider Leaves Yahoo To Be CEO Of Start-up Automattic; New VC Firm Formed

WordPress start-upAutomattic takes a big step with the hiring of a CEO—Toni Schneider, currently VP-Yahoo Developer Network, according to Om Malik. Schneider has considerable entrepreneurial CEO experience—he was CEO of OddPost when it was acquired by Yahoo; prior to that he was CEO of online music discovery service Uplister. At the same time, he is joining a new VC fund as a venture partner; True Ventures, a steed-stage fund, is headed by general partners Jon Callaghan and Phil Black.
