Michelle Guthrie, CEO of News Corp.’s STAR Group Ltd., has joined the VeriSign Board of Directors. VeriSign CEO Stratton Sclavos: “Consumer demand for real-time information and entertainment over mobile and broadband networks is increasing exponentially on a global basis. -- James Baker will be the new managing director of Sky Interactive effective Jan. 1, moving from controller of Sky One after two years. He succeeds Ian Shepherd, who is leaving to become director of commercial operations at Vodafone.  Baker reports to SKY CMO Jon Florsheim. He’ll be responsbile for the continued development of Sky Interactive, including the Sky Active and Sky Gamestar channels. He’ll also oversee the creation of a unit charged with the development of a “multi-platform content proposition” that will integrate content creation and delivery for Sky One across platforms including mobile, online and interactive TV.
