Industry Moves: Gandel To ABC News Digital; Buryk Promoted At NYT

ABC News Digital: Brett Gandel has joined the ABC News Digital Media Group as director of strategy and business development. He’ll work with the Disney/ABC Digital Media Group and across the company on broaband, mobile and emerging platforms. Grendel moves over from NBCU, where he worked with distributing original programming on new media platforms. Prior to that, he spent seven years at the NFL working on new media.
NYT/NYtimes.com: Alexis Buryk has been promoted to SVP-advertising from gorup VP-advertising, effective immediately. She succeeds Jyll Holzman, who resigned for family reasons, and will oversee all advertising sales for print and online. She reports to Denise Warren, chief advertising officer, NYT Media Group.
