Going to Olympics?

By Rafat Ali - Wed 09 Jun 2004 12:06 PM PST

I am thinking of going to the Olympics for about a week, to cover technology’s affect on sports and sports coverage, focusing on things like audio, video, wireless content and other areas. It will add to my coverage through the dedicated section I started recently on Digital Olympics.

I’ve been looking through the press credentials process, and it seems that someone semi-official like me would have a tough time getting accredited from the Olympics committee...they have separate rules for online journalists/organizations, and me not even being some sort of official media organization (though I’ve never been denied a press pass by anyone before), it would be doubly difficult, I suppose…

Does anyone have any experience or insight into this on how I should approach this? E-mail me or comment below: postCount(’PressCreds’); | postCountTB(’PressCreds’);
