Firefox-Based P2P Firm AllPeers Gets Funding

By Rafat Ali - Tue 07 Mar 2006 08:05 AM PST

File-sharing company AllPeers has received a first round of funding...AllPeers co-founder and CEO Cedric Maloux declined to disclose the amount of funding from Mangrove Capital Partners and Index Ventures, but said it was less than $5 million.

The three-year-old company, which is based in Oxford, UK with a dev. office in Prague, makes an extension for Mozilla’s Firefox browser that allows users to drag and drop files into an IM-style buddy list window for the purposes of sharing them. It is set to go into beta-testing this month.
