CNBC.com’s New Push; MSN Deal Going Away

By Rafat Ali - Thu 23 Nov 2006 11:20 AM PST

CNBC.com is in for a big relaunch and is gearing up for it on Dec 4....it has been powered by MSN’s Money channel for a long time (since 2001), but is now breaking away from it, and has hired some senior journalists and is relaunching with a heavy emphasis on live video. In some sense, it is playing catch-up to Bloomberg’s website, which has always been very video-friendly.
TalkingBizBews has a bunch of details on the relaunch here.
The senior journalist hires also emphasizes its seriousness in this: New Hires include former exec producer of Forbes.com; former News Editor for WSJ.com Video; former VP for Interactive Strategy at MSNBC; and former VP, Design & Development, Product Platforms at CBS New Media.
