Broadband Channel LX.TV Brings NYC Highlife To Hi-Def

Luxury lifestyle broadband network LX.TV has a couple of interesting moves in the works:
-- The fledgling network is partnering with WNBC HD to air LX.TV 1ST/LOOK: NYC, a 30-minute program focusing on nightlife and shopping. The show began airing Tuesday on WNBC 4.4 at 8 a.m. and While WNBC HD has carried stand-alone video segments from LX.TV since last October, when the broadband channel changed its name from Code.TV, this is the first original programming LX.TV has made specifically for the hi-def station. It also the first original online content packaged for a regularly scheduled show, something TMZ on TV won’t be able to claim.  The deal came about through the network’s online distribution deal with NBBC, according to CEO Joseph Varet. -- LX.TV also is about to announce an original broadband series called LX/Snow. New episodes are promised every weekday of the winter season. In a twist, partner Vail Resorts, will distribute some of the programming through its Snow.com site, through a desktop app and to Colorado TV stations.
