Beijing Olympics: NBCU Will Stream Up To 1,000 Hours Live

By Staci D. Kramer - Tue 07 Nov 2006 06:13 PM PST

Finally looks like U.S. Olympics fans will get access to real-time broadband Olympics coverage. Clair Atkinson has the scoop about NBCU’s Beijing Olympics digital plans ... NBCU sports czar Dick Ebersol said he isn’t ready yet for a “hard announcment” but “we’ll be in a position to live-stream between 800 and 1,000 hours of coverage in addition to 800 hours on cable and 200 hours on the network.” Yet to be decided—subscription or ad-supported (I’m betting we wind up with a mix) and how/where those streams will be delivered. Some events could even go to another media company.

    Help!
I am trying to find a contact address for an Executive Producer at NBC working on the 2008 Games (no, I am not looking for a job, or asking for money - I am just unbelievably frustrated with trying to find information on the internet). Is there any chance you, who ever reads this note, could point me in the direction of an Assistant or Producer, or just about anyone in the proper department?!
    Many thanks,
    MA Reid
