Battelle’s FM Closes Angel Round Led By Omidyar Network

John Battelle is touting the closing of an angel investment round for his FM Publishing venture. Omidyar Network led the round, according to Battelle; other investors include The New York Times Company, Mitchell Kapor, Andrew Anker, Mike Homer, and Tim O’Reilly. Battelle hopes to launch his blog network with 10-20 tech-related blogs, including Boing Boing and his own SearchBlog. That’s FM as in Federated Media.
