Austin Ventures Acquires All Star Directories

By Staci D. Kramer - Sun 29 Oct 2006 10:17 PM PST

Austin Ventures has acquired All Star Directories, the Seattle-based publisher of online education directories. AV has recapitalized All Star, founded in 2001, to provide it with the funds needed to build on its current publishing content and tech platform. Doug Brown stays as president, while founder Mike Mathieu, who was also chairman and CEO, retains an ownership stake and a seat on the board. No details on the financial terms.
Rafat adds: This is the new B2B rollup vehicle that Austin Ventures funded earlier this year to the tune of $50 million...the rollup vehicle is headed by CEO-in-residence Elisabeth DeMarse, the former CEO of BankRate.
