Amazon’s Plans With IMDB; Part of Movie Downloading Efforts

If you were wondering what has Amazon.com done with IMDB since its acquisition a long time ago, or what are the plans going ahead, this is a good story. A profile of the British founder Col Needham, as well as info on how IMDB’s convergence moment may soon be at hand, as Amazon is developing a download service that could let people burn DVD’s on their desktops. The movie database could play a more prominent role in the retailer’s media strategy. Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios and Warner Brothers are all involved in the project, the story says.
