Worth Magazine Sold To Luxury Publisher Sandow; Digital Investments Planned

By Joseph Weisenthal - Tue 12 Feb 2008 02:49 PM PST

Wealth management magazine Worth has been sold by current owner CurtCo Media, which also publishes the luxury magazine Robb Report. The acquirer is Boca Raton-based Sandow Media, which publishes Luxe magazine. According to Crain’s New York, Sandow intends to invest heavily on both the print and online side of the magazine, as well as in custom special events. CurtCo originally acquired Worth out of bankruptcy court in 2003 for $2.4 million. Terms of this deal have not been reported.

The deal comes a week after lifestyle publisher Niche Media acquired Philadelphia Style magazine.
