Video Ad Startup Podaddies Raises $1 Million First Round

San Francisco-based video advertising startup Podaddies has raised an initial $1 million round from The Band of Angels and The Angels Forum. The company’s pitch is that it allows publishers and advertisers to track and monetize content however it’s consumed, even if it’s been downloaded. Advertisers have a choice of ad formats—pre-roll, stills, etc. It competes in an increasingly crowded space that includes recently launched startups like YuMe and Brightroll. Funding will go towards general operations and more staff. Release.
