Numedeon Takes Investment from Pat Sajak for Tween-Oriented Virtual World

By Joseph Weisenthal - Fri 02 Nov 2007 11:39 AM PST

Pasadena-based Numedeon, the parent company of tween-oriented virtual world Whyville, has taken an investment from game show host Pat Sajak, reports socalTech. Terms of the funding were not disclosed, though the deal is said to have made Sajak a “significant” shareholder in the company. The virtual world, which was originally developed at CalTech, is intended to make education and learning fun.  In an interview with socalTech last December, COO Jay Goss said the company had raised $1.5 million from 12 different angels.
