B2B media firm TechTarget has filed financial data for KnowledgeStorm, the white paper/lead-gen firm whose acquisition it announced in November. Through the first three quarters of 07, KnowledgeStorm did revenue of $13.3 million, down slightly from the $13.5 million it did in the previous year. Net loss for the period came to $935,000, up significantly from a loss of $128,800. The slight decline in revenue appears consistent with TechTarget’s (NSDQ: TTGT) projection that it will see $12-$14 million in additional revenue in the 12 months following the deal’s close, which is expected in Q2. TechTarget also predicted that it would reap $4.5-$5.5 million in EBITDA during the same time. Although KnowledgeStorm is a money-losing company, TechTarget may be figuring it can significantly reduce KnowledgeStorm’s selling and marketing expenses—which totaled $6.2 million through Q307 (see here)—in order to achieve these profits.
