TeamPages Raises Near $500k First Round for High School Sports Social Net

Yet another funding in the high school sports space… Victoria, BC-based TeamPages, an organizing tool and social net for high school sports teams, has raised a first round in the $500,000 range from Germany’s Burda Digital Investors and several unidentified angels. The site provides an easy way for coaches and league administrators to post schedules, stats and other relevant information online. It also offers player profiles, picture sharing and other social features. The site is currently in beta with a planned launch early next year. Release.

There’s been lots of activity in the space of late, as you can see here.

Burda Digital Investors is the VC arm of German media firm Hubert Burda Media, which has made a number of digital moves, including a recent investment in Seed’s ScienceBlogs.
