Social Net For Service Industry BiteClub Raises $500k Seed Round

SF-based BiteClub.com, a social net for people who work in bars and restaurants, has raised a $500,000 seed round from restaurateur Larry Mindel, Darius Anderson, of Kenwood Investments and other unidentified investors. The company believes it will benefit from a large potential base that has a tradition of intra-industry socializing. Co-founder and CEO Sonny Mayugba was the publisher/founder of Heckler Magazine, which covered skate culture. Release. (via SiliconTap)
