Social Gamer Akoha Raises C$1.9 Million From Angels

Akoha, a developer of online and offline social games has raised C$1.9 (US$1.86) million from a long list of Canadian angel investors. The full list of investors, which includes the David Chamandy the founder of Lavalife, can be found here. The Montreal-based company, which has yet to launch, is a little vague on the type of products it has in mind, though it hopes to promote positive social change through gaming. Co-founder Austin Hill was previously founder and president of Zero Knowledge Systems, a company serving ISPs. Release. (.pdf)
