SEC Watch: NYTCo/About.com Paid $2.3 Million For UCompareHealthCare

New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) filed its 10-Q with SEC today, and some details about a small acquisition About.com in March: it bought UCompareHealthCare.com, a health care ratings (doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, specialty centers) , search and info site...the price was not disclosed then but in the filing, it is pegged at $2.3 million. NYTCO paid about $1.8 million in Q1 and withheld the remaining $0.5 million for a one-year indemnification period, it said. Full filing here.
