Industry Moves: Scripps Updates Post-Split Org Chart

By Joseph Weisenthal - Thu 13 Dec 2007 02:59 PM PST

E.W. Scripps, (NYSE: SSP) which is in the process of spinning off Scripps Networks Interactive, has announced what its top management ranks will look like post-split. As previously announced, current CEO Kenneth Lowe will assume the same role at Scripps Networks Interactive, while current COO Richard Boehne has been tapped for the promotion to chief at E.W. Scripps. Lowe also gets the nod for chairman at the new company, while current E.W. Scripps chairman William R. Burleigh will stay on in that capacity. Other highlights:

-- Joseph G. NeCastro, presently CFO of E.W. Scripps, will hold the same title at Scripps Networks Interactive. He will also have additional responsibilities for operating Shopzilla and uSwitch, the company’s comparison shopping sites.

-- John Lansing, president of Scripps Networks, will hold the same title post-split, meaning he’ll be joining the new company. (There was no mention of ex-Yahoo (NSDQ: YHOO) Deanna Brown, who joined the company earlier this year as president of the Interactive Group. At the post, however, she reported to John Lansing, who, as noted, is keeping the same job.
