Casual Gamer Rebel Monkey Secures $255K of Planned $1 Million Round

Rebel Monkey, a NY-based casual games startup, has raised $255,000 of a $1 million first round from RedPoint Ventures, reports PE Hub. The company says it wants to create the “next generation of high quality casual games”, although at the moment, the actual games themselves are being kept secret. Co-founder Margaret Wallace was previously at Skunk Studios and Shockwave, while other co-founder Nick Fortugno was director of game design at Gamelab.
