Online Video Service Motionbox Receives $7 Million Funding

By Rafat Ali - Tue 04 Dec 2007 07:00 AM PST

Motionbox, the New York City-based online video sharing service, has received $7 million in its second round of funding. The round was led by new investor Constellation Ventures and included first round investors Canaan Partners and SAS Investors. The new round will fund the marketing and product development of the company’s new services and products. Earlier this month, the company launched a premium unlimited version of its media sharing and storing service. Besides these consumer facing service, MB also has some partnerships with media brands: for example NYC local TV affiliate NBC10 uses Motionbox’s service to power its video sharing service.
