Online Political Science Video Channel Fora.tv Completes Seed Round Just Shy Of $2 Million

By David Kaplan - Wed 31 Oct 2007 04:48 PM PST

Online video site Fora.tv has closed its first round of seed funding from backers Adobe (NSDQ: ADBE) Systems and investor Will Hearst. As part of the funding, the amount of which was undisclosed in the release but we are told was just under $2 million, FORA.tv is distributing its videos via Adobe’s flash-based media player. Fora is primarily focused on videos of scholarly political discussions. CSPAN is a content partner, as are Washington DC think tanks such as The Brookings Institution, Cato Institute and The Heritage Foundation.
