Online Personal Broadcasting Firm Mogulus Gets $1.2 Million Angel Funding

By Rafat Ali - Sat 12 May 2007 05:56 PM PST

Mogulus, an NYC-based online video startup, has raised about $1.2 million in angle funding, including about $1 million from a “New York-based based Swiss private investor”. The company was founded by Max Haot, former founder and CEO of Interactive Content Factory, a software firm incubated within sports and media firm IMG and was later sold to Verizon Business.

The new company’s service is used for live personal video broadcasting online, with tools for editing and other add ons...it launched the beta service last week, and is targeting this summer to launch the full service. It has competition from the likes of Operator11 (founded by former Psuedo, com founder Josh Harris), PalTalk, Stickcam and others, all of whom enable personal live broadcasting online.

Disclaimer: Operator11 and Paltalk were sponsors of our EconSM conference last month.
